North Korea is a nuclear power and will remain nuclear
North Korea’s Foreign Ministry announced that the insistence and emphasis of the United States and South Korea on Pyongyang’s denuclearization is useless and will not bring about any change in the country’s policies.
The ministry has emphasized that North Korea is recognized as a nuclear power and will maintain its nuclear status in the future. Pyongyang officials have also stated that the country’s nuclear capabilities are part of its defense and national security strategy.
These statements come at a time when the United States and South Korea have repeatedly emphasized the need for North Korea’s complete denuclearization, and diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions on the Korean Peninsula continue.
