World’s fastest commercial jet sets new record over Atlantic Ocean
Bombardier’s Global 8000 jet has set a new aviation industry record by setting the fastest flight of a commercial jet across the Atlantic Ocean.
The plane flew between Montreal, Canada, and Nice, France, in just over six hours, transporting its passengers to attend the Formula One race in Monaco.
The Global 8000 is known as the fastest civilian aircraft after the Concorde, reaching speeds of Mach 0.95 and a range of 8,000 nautical miles.
Bombardier CEO Eric Martel was also present on the flight and praised the performance of this advanced jet.
