The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces have carried out a massive retaliatory strike against military fields and facilities associated with the Ukrainian military in response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian targets on Russian territory.
According to the statement, the targets attacked included military fields, energy infrastructure, fuel supply facilities, and transportation networks used by the Ukrainian armed forces.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also claimed that the country’s air defense systems have intercepted and destroyed 10 air-guided bombs, one HIMARS missile system, and 352 drones over the past 24 hours.
These developments are occurring as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, with both sides escalating mutual attacks on each other’s infrastructure and military positions.
