In an interview with the Sunday Times, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the second round of direct talks between Iran and the United States will soon be held in Islamabad.
He said that all parties involved trust Pakistan, adding: “Fortunately, Iran trusts Pakistan, as does the US government, and so do the Gulf countries.”
The Pakistani Prime Minister also thanked the presidents of the United States and Iran for accepting Islamabad’s invitation.
Shahbaz Sharif has emphasized that achieving peace requires patience, wisdom, and overcoming difficult challenges, and Pakistan is trying to lead this process to lasting peace.
