Explosion in Lakki Marwat, Pakistan, leaves 9 dead, 18 injured
At least nine people were killed and 18 others wounded when a motorcycle bomb exploded in the Laki Marwat market of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistani media reported.
Two traffic police officers were among the dead, and the health condition of a number of the injured is reported to be critical.
Security forces have cordoned off the area after the explosion and have launched a search operation to identify the perpetrators of the incident.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi condemned the attack and ordered immediate treatment of the injured and submission of a detailed police report.
