Qatar and Saudi Arabia emphasize reducing tensions in the region
In a telephone conversation, the foreign ministers of Qatar and Saudi Arabia emphasized the need to support mediation efforts and reduce tensions in the region.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry announced that Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Faisal bin Farhan discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and ways to prevent a re-escalation of tensions during the call.
The two sides also emphasized the importance of reaching a lasting agreement and the responsiveness of all parties to mediation efforts.
The issue of the ceasefire between Iran and the United States and support for the process of reducing tensions were also discussed in this conversation.
