The Israeli network “i24 News” has reported that Saudi Arabia has closed its airspace and military bases to the United States due to concerns about an Iranian missile response.
According to the report, Riyadh has said that these restrictions will continue until Washington provides full security guarantees.
Informed sources in the Persian Gulf have told this network that Saudi Arabia does not want to expose itself to direct conflict with Iran and is concerned about vulnerability to possible missile attacks.
The report continues by stating that Saudi Arabia has called for transparency in US military plans and for “appropriate protection” against potential Iranian threats.
