European Union opposes suspension of cooperation agreement with Israel

European Union members opposed a proposal by Spain, Ireland, and Slovenia to suspend the cooperation agreement with the Zionist regime of Israel.

The union’s foreign ministers rejected the proposal on Tuesday, which was intended to review political and trade relations with the regime.

Germany and Italy reportedly played a key role in preventing the proposal from being approved.

The EU-Israel Association Agreement has been the main framework for political and economic relations between the two sides since 2000.

Previously, Spain, Slovenia, and Ireland had called for the suspension of this agreement to be considered within the framework of the European Union.
