After more than a decade of military presence, the United States officially withdrew from Syria and handed over all of its bases to the Syrian Ministry of Defense.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Transitional Government announced that the handover of former bases occupied by American forces to the Syrian government has been completed.
The ministry emphasized that the government assumes full responsibility for combating terrorism and confronting threats, and that the end of the US military presence reflects a change in the conditions that necessitated its existence.
