US Army KC-135 tanker plane crashes in Iraq
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it was aware of the crash of a KC-135 tanker aircraft in Iraqi airspace during Operation Epic Fury, the invasion of Iran.
CENTCOM added that the incident occurred in domestic airspace and involved two aircraft; one crashed in western Iraq and the other landed safely. Rescue efforts are continuing to find the crew.
Iraqi resistance sources reported that an American refueling plane was targeted and shot down by Iraqi resistance groups.
This incident occurs while US air support operations against Iran’s aggression continue, and Iraqi resistance groups have repeatedly targeted American bases and assets in the region.
