In an official message, Iraqi Sadrist leader Muqtada al-Sadr expressed condolences to the Islamic world, the Iranian nation, and the Islamic Ummah over the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
In this message, Sadr emphasized that Imam Khamenei’s martyrdom is a great loss for the Islamic nation and the axis of resistance, and his pure blood will be a beacon of guidance and awakening for Muslims.
While strongly condemning the US and Zionist aggression against Iranian soil, he announced that three days of public mourning would be declared throughout Iraq in honor of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Sadr also called on the Iraqi people to show their sympathy during these three days by holding mourning ceremonies, reciting the Quran, and praying for the soul of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and the Iranian martyrs.
This message was issued in a situation where Iraq has also witnessed widespread attacks on American bases in recent days, and the Sadr Movement has played an important role in supporting the axis of resistance.
