The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Ukrainian armed forces have suffered more than 1.5 million casualties since the start of Russia’s special military operation.
The TASS news agency, citing the ministry, reported that since the beginning of 2026 alone, Kiev has lost about 65,000 soldiers.
In terms of equipment, 670 warplanes, 283 helicopters, 116,000,104 drones, 650 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27,835 tanks and other armored vehicles, and 1,671 multiple rocket launcher systems have been destroyed since the start of the war.
These statistics are being released as the war in Ukraine enters its fourth year and human and material losses on both sides continue.
