Zakharova: Europe no longer has the right to sit at the negotiating table with Ukraine
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that Europe no longer has the authority and right to be at the negotiating table in Ukraine because it previously betrayed Moscow and failed to adhere to the Minsk agreements.
TASS news agency reported that Zakharova emphasized that the Europeans had been present in the negotiations in the past as guarantors and mediators, but in 2022 they publicly admitted that they did not intend to implement the Minsk agreements and were cooperating with the Ukrainian government to continue the war.
He added that Europe’s return to the negotiating table is only possible if lost trust is restored and it demonstrates real adherence to international norms, rules, and regulations.
Zakharova noted that the Europeans have so far used their position solely to rearm the Kiev regime, and how they behave in the future will determine their real position in any negotiation process.
