A massive explosion occurred at the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Bonneville, New York, injuring at least five people.
According to American media reports, the building was heated using gas cylinders, and local authorities announced that there were no signs of criminal or terrorist activity in the incident and that the explosion was likely caused by a gas leak or a technical malfunction in the heating system.
Images released from the scene of the incident show towering flames and columns of thick black smoke. Firefighters and rescue workers were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the injured were taken to the hospital.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the explosion, but no security threats have been reported so far.
