Hundreds of ISIS family members flee Al-Hol camp in the past 72 hours

Syrian sources, citing the Al-Ma’ulouma News Agency, announced that hundreds of family members of ISIS elements have fled Al-Hol camp in northeastern Syria over the past three days.

These people, of various nationalities, have taken advantage of the unstable and insecure situation in the camp and managed to escape.

Sources emphasized that there is a possibility of a pre-planned plan for this mass escape, especially given that the security forces in charge of the camp have not paid sufficient attention to the situation.

These sources warned that fugitives could become the main pillars of ISIS’s underground networks in the future and pose a new security threat to the region and neighboring countries.

The incident has raised serious questions about the performance of the security forces, as American forces stationed near the al-Hol camp did not take any action upon witnessing this mass escape.

This is while the United States mainly justifies its military presence in Syria by claiming to fight ISIS and prevent its revival.
