Historic meeting of Aliyev with J.D. Vance in Baku Signing of the Charter of Strategic Cooperation between AZB & USA
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with US Vice President James David Vance in Baku.
Aliyev stated in the meeting: “We thank Donald Trump for his contributions to establishing peace in the South Caucasus. The visit of the US Vice President to Baku can be described as historic. Trump’s path will strengthen peace in the region.”
JD Vance also emphasized, “The United States and Azerbaijan have long been engaged in important strategic cooperation. We plan to deliver new military ships to Azerbaijan to protect its territorial waters. We hope that expanding economic relations will help consolidate the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.”
Following this important meeting, the parties signed the Charter of Strategic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United States of America, which indicates the enhancement of the level of bilateral relations in the military, economic, and security spheres.
