Deadly shooting at Tumbler Ridge High School in Canada leaves 10 dead, including suspect

Canadian police have announced that at least 10 people have died in a shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia, including the suspect in the attack.

Al Jazeera reported that six bodies were found inside the school yesterday, another person died on the way to the hospital, and police also discovered two more bodies in a residential home related to the incident.

The suspect, identified by Canadian media as a woman, died at the scene of a self-inflicted gunshot wound; police have not yet released further details about her identity.

Two people have been airlifted to hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries, and around 25 others are being treated and assessed at a local health centre.

All students and staff from the school have been safely evacuated, and security forces, along with education officials, are coordinating with families to reunite with their children.
