The US Department of Justice announced that an American man from Ohio, Shannon Matre, a resident of Toledo, has been arrested on charges of threatening to kill US Vice President Jeddah Vance.
The suspect was arrested by US Secret Service agents on February 6th and is currently being prosecuted.
His official charge is that he threatened to take the life of and cause bodily harm to the Vice President.
This incident occurred at a time when Jeddah Vance, as Donald Trump’s vice president, is considered one of the key figures in the new US administration, and threats against him could have serious security and legal consequences.
