Araqchi at Al Jazeera Doha:Just solution to the Palestinian issue is the cornerstone of sustainable security in the region and the world

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi delivered a speech at the 17th Al Jazeera Forum in Doha, Qatar, on the topic of “The Palestine Issue and Regional Balance in a Multipolar World,” emphasizing that Palestine is not merely a humanitarian or regional issue, but rather a benchmark for achieving justice and a true test of the effectiveness of international law, and a cornerstone of sustainable security in West Asia and the world.

He called what is happening in Gaza “blatant genocide,” “an international crime,” and “a violation of fundamental humanitarian principles,” and warned that the continued immunity of the Israeli regime from accountability undermines the international legal order and poses a serious threat to global peace and stability.

Araqchi considered the Israeli regime’s actions to be a cause of widespread instability in the region and, criticizing discriminatory approaches in the fields of security and weapons, called for a targeted arms embargo against this regime, support for international legal mechanisms, and the drawing of a credible political horizon based on international law.

The Iranian Foreign Minister considered the end of the occupation, the realization of the right of return of Palestinian refugees, and the formation of an independent and united Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital as the basic pillars of any just and lasting solution, and emphasized the need for coordination between Islamic Arab countries and the global South to effectively support the rights of the Palestinian people.
