Araqchi enters diplomacy ahead of Iran’s Muscat talks with eyes wide open and memory alert from last year’s events

Before the start of indirect talks with the United States in Muscat, Oman, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, wrote on his X-Page: “Iran is entering the path of diplomacy with its eyes open and without forgetting the events of last year.”

He emphasized that Tehran will engage in full good faith, but at the same time will firmly stand up for its rights.

Araqchi added: “Commitments must be respected and implemented. Equality in the place of mutual respect and mutual benefits are not just slogans; they are an inevitable necessity and the main foundations of a lasting agreement.”

This stance was taken at a time when indirect talks between Iran and the United States, mediated by Oman, are scheduled to be held in Muscat today (Friday, February 7), and the main focus will be on nuclear issues.
