The next meeting of the Contact Group of Special Representatives for Afghanistan will be held in Astana on February 16

The Kazakh Embassy in Uzbekistan announced that the next meeting of the Contact Group of Special Representatives of Countries for Afghanistan will be held on February 16, 2026, in the Kazakh capital, Astana, Nur-Sultan.

This issue was raised and discussed during a meeting between Ismatullah Irgashev, Uzbekistan’s special representative for Afghanistan, and Bebut Atamkulov, Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Uzbekistan.

In this meeting, in addition to reviewing the economic and humanitarian situation, the two sides emphasized the need for Afghanistan’s integration into regional trade and economic relations, considering it essential for the stability and sustainable development of the region.
