British Defense Secretary: If I had the chance to kidnap a world leader, I would choose Putin

British Defense Secretary John Hill made a controversial and provocative statement that if it were possible to kidnap a world leader, he would choose Russian President Vladimir Putin as the target.

In a direct response to reporters’ questions, he said, “If there were possibilities to kidnap a leader, I would choose the Russian president out of all the world leaders.”

These words, expressed in a frank and unconventional tone, have provoked a wave of reactions in political and media circles, especially in Russia and countries close to Moscow.

John Hill’s statements come at a time when relations between London and Moscow have reached their lowest point in recent years, and tensions over the war in Ukraine, sanctions, and security issues continue.

There has been no official response from the Kremlin or the Russian Foreign Ministry to these remarks, but they are expected to be cited as another example of Britain’s hostile approach towards Russia.
