The Leader of the Revolution : We will not back down in the face of saboteurs and foreign mercenaries
In important speeches, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of the Iranian people, warned about the recent events in the country and emphasized that the Islamic Republic will not back down in the face of sabotage and those who act in favor of foreigners.
In part of his statement, he said that a bunch of vandals came to Tehran and some other places and destroyed buildings belonging to their own country in order to please the American president… They are pleased with him… If he can run his own country, his hands are stained with the blood of more than a thousand Iranians.
Referring to the 12-day war and the martyrdom of more than a thousand Iranians, Ayatollah Khamenei added that America has admitted that its hands are stained with the blood of Iranians, but claims to support the Iranian nation.
He emphasized that some inexperienced and deceived people are only seeking to please foreigners by setting fire to trash cans and destroying public property.
Ayatollah Khamenei stated:
“Everyone should know that the Islamic Republic, which came to power with the blood of hundreds of thousands of honorable people, will not back down in the face of those who destroy the great. It will not tolerate the mercenaries of foreigners. The nation rejects you. The Islamic system also rejects you.”
He also pointed to the fate of the arrogant people of history, from Pharaoh and Nimrod to Reza Khan and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and warned that every arrogant person was overthrown at the height of his pride, and this person will also have a similar fate.
In the end, the Leader of the Revolution addressed the youth and emphasized, “Dear young people, preserve your religion, your political thought, your presence, your preparations, your seriousness in the country’s progress, preserve your unity. A united nation will overcome any enemy.”
These remarks came at a time when economic protests in some cities have been accompanied by reports of destruction of public property and clashes.
