Venezuela’s interim president: We will proceed according to Maduro’s mission
Delcy Rodriguez, former vice president of Nicolas Maduro and current interim president of Venezuela, condemned the US military operation and Maduro’s arrest as a “criminal aggression” and a clear violation of international law and legitimacy.
Rodriguez paid tribute to the victims of this operation, calling the martyrs of the defense of Venezuela a symbol of the country’s nation’s resilience, and appreciated the support of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.
He emphasized that the armed forces, by adhering to the constitution, have played a pivotal role in defending peace, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Venezuela.
Referring to the continuation of the path of resistance, the interim president stated: “We will move forward in accordance with the mission that Nicolas Maduro has entrusted to us.”
Rodriguez added that, alongside the armed forces and the Venezuelan people, he will be fully prepared and, like a “ready soldier,” responsible for defending the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, stability, and peace.
