CNN reported that Venezuelan security forces have arrested at least five American citizens on drug trafficking charges in recent months.
According to the report, three of the detainees have dual American-Venezuelan citizenship, and the other two have no ties to Venezuela.
The arrests come as relations between the United States and Venezuela remain tense.
