US doctors warn of severe flu outbreak

American doctors have warned of a significant increase in cases of the influenza virus this season (2025-2026), warning that at least 1,900 people have died from the disease so far, three of which are children.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), by mid-December 2025, about 4.6 million cases, 49,000 hospitalizations, and the same number of deaths have been recorded.

Health experts have expressed concern about the further spread of the disease during the New Year holidays due to travel and family gatherings, and emphasize that high-risk groups, such as children and the elderly over 65, should take preventive measures seriously.
