Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the capital of Turkmenistan on Friday (12th of December)for a two-day visit.
According to the TASS news agency, Putin will participate in the international forum “Peace and Trust, Unity of Goals for a Sustainable Future” to be held in Ashgabat, and will also hold a series of bilateral meetings.
The Kremlin confirmed that a separate conversation would take place between Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Iranian embassy in Ashgabat also announced that Vladimir Putin’s meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezzekian is on the agenda for this trip.
In addition to President Berdimuhamedow of Turkmenistan, the summit will be attended by the presidents of Armenia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, as well as the prime ministers of Azerbaijan, Hungary, Georgia, and Pakistan.
