Europe is planning to send monitoring forces to Ukraine to monitor a possible peace deal

Europe is planning to send monitoring forces to Ukraine to monitor a possible peace deal.

A European military official revealed in an interview with the Politico website that European allies are developing plans to move troops and surveillance equipment into Ukrainian territory to closely monitor any future peace agreement with Russia.

According to this report, the European coalition forces plan to fly drones inside Ukraine to fully monitor the implementation of the peace agreement and prevent any possible violations.

The military official emphasized that a ground military presence will also be established, but these forces will only play a supervisory and non-combat role and will not be involved on the front lines.

These programs are part of the “Coalition of Like Wills” initiative led by France and Britain, which includes more than 30 European and non-European countries.

The main goal is to ensure Ukraine’s security after a possible ceasefire and prevent renewed Russian attacks.

British officials have announced that more than 200 military planners from 38 countries are working on the details of the plan, and that European forces will be ready to be deployed immediately if Trump and Putin agree.

However, challenges such as Russian opposition to the presence of NATO forces, European logistical limitations, and the need for US support have complicated the implementation of this plan.
