UNAMA Administrator: We are the bridge between the international community and the Islamic Emirate

George Ganyon, acting head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), told reporters on the sidelines of the Doha summit that the agency acts as a bridge between the international community and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

He added: “UNAMA’s efforts are focused on reintegrating Afghanistan into the international system and ensuring the country’s adherence to its global commitments.”

Gagnon emphasized that the United Nations will continue to support the Afghan people and facilitate constructive dialogue between Kabul and the international community.
