Qatari Foreign Minister at Doha Forum: Sustainable peace in Palestine not possible without justice
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, emphasized at the “Mediation in the Age of Dispersion” session of the 23rd Doha Forum that achieving a lasting and just peace for the Palestinian people is the main condition for ending the conflict.
He stated, “A real ceasefire will only be achieved when Israeli forces fully withdraw and stability returns to the Gaza Strip.”
“Resolving the crisis of the last two years alone is not enough; the root of the conflict remains, and this includes the West Bank and the Palestinians’ right to an independent state.”
Referring to Doha’s continued mediation efforts, the Qatari Foreign Minister added: “We continue to seek a lasting and just solution that guarantees the legitimate rights of both nations.”
