Putin arrives in India; oil, weapons, and circumventing sanctions focus of talks

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in India on Thursday for a two-day visit and was warmly embraced by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon arrival.

This trip comes a few months after the United States put great pressure on India to stop buying Russian crude oil, but New Delhi has continued to buy Russian oil extensively.
