The Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate in Moscow meets with the Russian Special Representative for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

Maulvi Gul Hassan, Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Russia, met with Bakhtiar Hakimov, Special Representative of the President of Afghanistan for Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Affairs.

In this meeting, the parties discussed the results of the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting and the reactivation of Afghanistan’s observer membership status in future meetings of the organization.

Bakhtiar Hakimov emphasized the need to remove existing obstacles and continue regular dialogue between relevant parties, and considered Afghanistan’s presence as an observer member within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to be in the interest of all member countries
