TTP confirms killing of Mufti Muzahim and Yasir in Pakistani attack
The Pakistani Taliban TTP confirmed in an official statement that Mufti Mazahim, the group’s former deputy, and Yasir, a prominent commander, were targeted and killed in an attack by Pakistani forces.
The announcement coincided with a Pakistani army bulletin claiming that four TTP members, including Mufti Muzahim, also known as Amjad Ali Muzahim, were killed in an operation on October 30 in the Bajaur region.
Mufti Muzahim, who was known as the deputy leader of the TTP and the head of the TTP’s leadership council, was one of the group’s most valuable targets, and the Pakistani government had offered a reward of 5 million rupees, or about $18,000, for his capture or information leading to his death.
