Historic skateboard jump from 22-story building sets Guinness World Records for 50-year-old Brazilian athlete

Legendary Brazilian skateboarder Sandro Dias set two Guinness World Records by performing an unprecedented move on the world’s largest skateboard ramp.

He jumped off the curved facade of the 22-story CAFF building in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and recorded a speed of 103 kilometers per hour.

The jump was made from a height of about 70 meters with a slope of nearly 60 meters to the ground.

The project, called Red Bull Building Drop, which took place on September 25, transformed the 89-meter CAFF building into a temporary skating rink.

The curved surface of the building was covered with plywood to provide a safe and smooth path for Dias.

The ramp took about two months to prepare and build, and Dias successfully completed the challenge with custom equipment, including a helmet and spine protector.
