The Boko Haram terrorist group has killed about 70 people, including seven soldiers, in a deadly attack on Dar al-Jamal village near Banki in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
The attack occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening when gunmen stormed the village, opened fire indiscriminately, and set houses on fire.
This act of violence once again highlights the ongoing threat posed by Boko Haram in northeastern Nigeria.
Local officials and eyewitnesses have reported the extent of the destruction and human casualties of the attack, but there has been no official statement from the Borno state government or the Nigerian military on the exact details of the incident.
