Maduro’s stern warning to Trump: Venezuela will not surrender to US threats

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, in a strongly worded speech, warned US President Donald Trump to be careful of his country’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio, because according to him, Rubio intends to stain Trump’s hands with blood by dragging the United States into a bloodbath in Venezuela and the region.

Maduro made the remarks at a news conference in response to the deployment of eight US warships equipped with 1,200 missiles and a nuclear submarine near Venezuela’s coast, describing it as the greatest threat to his country in a century.

Stressing that Venezuela is facing a criminal and bloody threat from Washington, Maduro announced that the country is on maximum war alert and is ready to defend its sovereignty and independence by mobilizing 4.5 million paramilitary forces.

These tensions intensified after the United States, claiming to be fighting drug trafficking, increased its military presence in the Caribbean and increased the reward for Maduro’s capture to $50 million.
