Rubio: Russia, China, and Iran are the main factors in the US’s preparations to attack Venezuela
Explaining the reasons for Washington’s readiness for military action against Venezuela, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio identified Russia, China and Iran as the main culprits and rejected the Trump administration’s claims of the role of drug cartels.
Rubio stated: The election of Nicolas Maduro was completely fraudulent; Russia’s presence in Venezuela is clear and Iran’s influence is growing.
The Iranians are building drone factories there in our Western Hemisphere… In addition, the Venezuelan regime is issuing real but illegitimate passports to Hezbollah forces.
Rubio’s statements, made in a recent interview, reflect America’s geopolitical concerns about the influence of strategic rivals in South America and could exacerbate regional tensions.
Venezuelan officials have denied the accusations, describing them as interference.
