At least 7 injured in shooting in New York’s ghetto

Al Jazeera News Agency reported that at least seven people were injured in a shooting at a restaurant near a synagogue in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn, a neighborhood with a significant Jewish population, citing New York State Police.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning (17th  of August 2025) at the Test O’De City Lounge restaurant, and New York Police have declared a level one situation, quarantined the area, and launched an extensive investigation.

US police reported that bloodstains and broken glass were found at the scene of the incident, and the suspect is still at large. No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting, and the attacker’s motive is unknown.

The victims have been taken to the hospital, but their condition has not yet been announced.

Local sources reported a large presence of police and rescue forces at the scene.

This incident occurred while a shooting in New York’s Times Square last week left three injured, indicating the ongoing trend of gun violence in the city.
