Opposition protests in New Delhi against election fraud; leaders including Rahul Gandhi arrested
According to Reuters, on Monday, Indian opposition groups held massive demonstrations in the country’s capital, New Delhi, to protest what they called “election fraud.”
The protests, which were held against the Election Commission of India, were accompanied by the arrest of several prominent opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, a key figure in the Congress party.
Protesters claim that widespread violations occurred in the recent election process and have demanded transparency and accountability from election officials.
The demonstration took place at a time when political tensions in India have reached their peak.
