China-Russia joint exercise in the Sea of Japan is a message for a new world order
According to Noornews, the joint Chinese-Russian naval exercise titled “Naval Interaction 2025” in the Sea of Japan is more than a military maneuver, it is a sign of the strategic convergence of the two eastern powers against Western threats.
The exercise, which took place for five days from August 1, 2025, near the Russian port of Vladivostok, sends a clear message to the United States and NATO.
This maneuver is part of Moscow and Beijing’s efforts to shape a new, multipolar world order that challenges unilateral Western hegemony.
The 2025 Naval Interaction Exercise includes operations such as anti-submarine rescue, air defense, anti-missile defense, and naval combat, and will be held with the participation of advanced ships, including the Chinese destroyers Shaoxing and Urumqi, and the Russian anti-submarine ship Admiral Tributes.
This military cooperation, which began in 2012, has been strengthened in light of increasing tensions with the West, especially after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and widespread Western sanctions against Moscow.
