WHO sends 24 trucks of medical equipment to Gaza

The World Health Organization (WHO) recently announced that since Friday, August 1, 2025, 24 trucks carrying health supplies, including essential medicines, surgical equipment, medicines for non-communicable diseases, and blood testing kits, have been sent to Gaza.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the organization, stated in a message on the social network X that these shipments include vital items such as essential medicines, surgical equipment, medicines for non-communicable diseases, and laboratory and water testing equipment, which will be delivered to health centers and health partners in Gaza in the coming days.

The organization emphasized that this aid is tailored to the recorded needs of Gaza’s health centers and is part of international efforts to respond to the humanitarian crisis resulting from the continued Israeli attacks on the region.

This measure is in support of the Gaza health system and is expected to play an important role in improving health services in this crisis-stricken region.
