Türkiye unveils powerful non-nuclear bomb “Wrath”

Türkiye unveiled its most powerful non-nuclear bomb, called “Gazap,” at the International Defense Industry Exhibition (IDEF).

This thermobaric bomb, with a warhead weight of 970 kilograms, was designed by the Research and Development Center of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense and optimized to cause maximum destruction on the intended targets.

According to reports, the “rage bomb” is capable of scattering about 10,000 shrapnel within the target area after detonation and creating a wave of intense heat and pressure.

Unlike the dispersion of shrapnel in a fixed radius of three meters, this bomb is designed to release 10.16 shrapnel in a concentrated manner per meter of the target range, which significantly increases its destructive power.

This weapon, which can be launched from F-16 fighter jets, has been introduced as one of the most advanced thermobaric bombs in the region.

The unveiling of the “Rage Bomb” came as regional tensions increased and Türkiye sought to consolidate its position in defense technologies.
