Trump complains about Nobel Peace Prize nomination cancellation: I prevented 5 wars, but Nobel goes to others

US President Donald Trump, reacting to the withdrawal of his nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, expressed his dissatisfaction with not receiving the award due to his recent actions.

He claimed to have prevented five wars in the past two weeks, but that award goes to others.

The comments came after Ukrainian lawmaker Oleksandr Merezhko called out Trump’s nomination over the failure of ceasefire talks between Russia and Ukraine.

His nomination from Pakistan has also faced domestic criticism, and pressure to cancel it has increased.

Trump has previously been praised for his role in brokering a ceasefire between Iran and Israel and brokering a peace deal between Congo and Rwanda, but some critics, including former US national security adviser John Bolton, have described these actions as merely an attempt to win a Nobel Prize.
