Kosovo to temporarily accept migrants deported from US

The Kosovo government has approved a plan under which the country will temporarily accept migrants deported from the United States as part of their resettlement process in a third country.

After approving the plan, Kosovo’s interim Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that the stay of up to 50 migrants who will be returned to their countries of origin will be managed and coordinated by the country’s Ministry of Interior.

He emphasized in X that the Kosovo government selects individuals from a proposed list, provided that they meet certain conditions related to the rule of law and public order.
