The People’s Republican Party announced Imamoglu as the final candidate for the Turkish presidential election

The People’s Republican Party of Turkey introduced the arrested mayor of Istanbul, Akram Imamoglu, as the only candidate of this party in the upcoming presidential elections of Turkey to compete with the current president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to the results of intra-party elections, Imamoglu has won 13 million and 211 thousand votes.

The Republican Party is the most important opposition to the ruling party of Türkiye, the Justice and Development Party, led by Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
