Throwing 8 bombs “error” in the civilian area in the joint exercise between the US and South Korea

The joint exercise between the US and South Korea has resulted in at least 15 civilians being injured, two of whom are reported to be in serious condition.

At 10 a.m. on Thursday, two South Korean fighters dropped 8 bombs in a civilian area during a joint exercise with American forces.

The South Korean Air Force claimed that these bombs were accidentally dropped in Pocheon village near the border between North and South Korea.

The incident has sparked widespread protests in the region and the South Korean military has announced that it has temporarily halted the military exercises, but Reuters says Monday’s major US-South Korean exercise will not be affected by the incident.

However, the mayor of Pocheon, an area where parts of it were destroyed by dropping 8 bombs in a joint US-South Korean exercise, described the scene of this incident as “pure chaos” and said that the landing site of these bombs now resembles a real battlefield.
