The start of talks to end the Ukrainian war between Russia and America in Saudi Arabia
Talks to end the Ukraine war between the United States and Russia will begin soon, hosted by Saudi Arabia.
Although the composition of the Russian delegation has not been determined yet, Reuters news agency quoted Michael McCall, the head of the US House of Representatives’ Foreign Relations Committee, as reporting that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, White House National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, and US Special Representative for the Middle East Steve Witkoff will be part of the US delegation.
McCall said the talks were aimed at paving the way for a meeting between Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Volodymyr Zelensky to end the war in Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a meeting with the US Vice President in Munich, said that he was not invited to these talks in Saudi Arabia and stressed that Kiev is not willing to negotiate with Russia without prior consultation with its allies.
