The spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to the recent interview of French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barro, said that France’s green light for Ukraine to attack Russian territory will only increase tensions and ultimately destroy Ukraine.
The French foreign minister said in an interview with BBC TV on Saturday: “There is no red line when it comes to supporting Ukraine, and long-range attacks on Russian soil are likely to be carried out by Ukraine in the logic of self-defense.
Referring to these statements of the French Foreign Minister, the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry told TASS news agency: “This is not support for Ukraine, but a way to destroy it.”
French President Emmanuel Macron said in May that he would review permission to use “Storm Shadow” missiles against targets deep in Russia; Earlier this week, Barrow told reporters that Macron welcomed the idea.
