At the same time as World Refugee Day, the Canadian government has announced that it will accept 12,000 refugees from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia and the Pacific in the next three years.
The country has emphasized that it will accept 12,000 refugees from each of these areas.
In addition, this year Canada will receive more than 27,000 refugees sponsored by private groups.
