Islamabad condemned the seizure of a Pakistani ship by India.
Following the seizure of a Pakistani ship by India, which was on its way from China to the port of Karachi, Islamabad accused New Delhi of violating international laws.
Pakistan’s foreign ministry said in a statement on Saturday that the vessel seized by India was a commercial vessel that was transporting automotive-related industrial equipment for a Pakistani company based in Karachi.
“India impounded the merchant vessel in an arbitrary act and contrary to international norms,
while the reports in this regard in the Indian media are false,” the statement said. According to Indian media reports, the forces of this country have seized a suspicious ship from China to the port of Karachi in Pakistan.
According to Indian officials, the ship’s cargo was more than commercial or industrial items, carrying military components related to Pakistan’s missile programs.
This is despite the fact that about 5 years ago, India had arrested a Pakistani ship on the charge of transporting rocket-making equipment from China to Karachi.
